No Social Butterfly

I think I've mentioned this on a few previous occasions that I'm somewhat of a recluse of late.

No, this isn't due just because of the cancer and that stuff but rather, I've just become much more content to stay in my house, cook for my daughter and her children, read now and then, watch tv and well, just embroider -or occasionally play with other craft types too.

I've never been what you'd call a true social butterfly although for a good while in my life, I did like to stop at the local pub and put a few brews back on occasion.

But this area too isn't really that socially inclined either -not towards having fancy parties and sending out holiday invitations to a party here, or another one there, fancy get-ups and such. I suppose there are a few people around here -in the larger little towns maybe -who actually do that, but here where I live, no so much.

And I'm just as happy to have life the way it is here in that respect -nothing to worry about then that way!

I think you and I would get on well then as I am not inclined to go out either, especially in the evening.
Settling down with my rabbits and a good Tv programme, or a good book or maybe an evening doing my knitting projects....... seems a better prospect!
During the day...... I seem to be busy buzzing in and out of the place with grandchildren in tow etc, etc, etc.

We are like that too. I had so much social life in the past that I want a quiet life at home now. Hubby and I are really busy every day, we each have our own stuff to do and we also have time together. We play darts and read and listen to different music and talk and each day I wonder how it got to be night time already. I live that you are taking time to enjoy being home and with your daughter and your grandchildren. Hugs to you.

The older I get, the more I really don't mind staying in more often than not. Of course, I don't mind going out with my camera but as far as socializing - eh!

And with winter fast approaching you know it's only going to get worse!

Sounds like a really good way of life, too. I'd much rather relax at home than have places to go all of the time.

I LOVE being a home body. That's not to say I don't enjoy going to town and visiting with people or over to my sister's or having friends over. I enjoy that too but truly, there is no place I'd rather be than home, surrounded by my kids, or not, just boot scootin' around doing a little of this n' a little of that.. Love, love, love it.

We've been hanging out at home a lot too. I suspect we'll get out and about more in the coming weeks. We've already got a couple of events on the schedule.
