Managing the Aging Process

Let's face it, we're all going through this stuff whether we're little kids, teens, young adults, middle aged or elderly -it happens to all of us if we're lucky. We keep on aging!

And with age usually comes retirement and social security, or a nice pension too maybe if we're really lucky.

Sometimes, things happen though along the way and we end up on social security earlier than planned too due to an illness or an accident and along comes social security disability to provide some type of income then to exist on.

But regardless of the circumstances that gets us to receiving social security, there's this little thing called health insurance and in particular the Medicare Part D ">prescription coverage available through the various health insurance company plans. Talk about confusing!

Try to read about these plans and the Medicare Part D deductible ">deductibles -all different with every stinking plan, ya know, and it really is enough to make one's head spin!

I've been trying to figure mine out for a long time now and this looks like a good way to get a little better Medicare D Enrollment">understanding -I hope -of .

I sure hope so anyway!

I tried helping my grandmother with hers and we finally just filled out the forms and wished for the best.

I'm getting OLDER?!?

(*goes and looks in mirror*)

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! Where's my hair? What the heck are these things on my eyes? Oh, God! They're glasses!

(*rubs eyes, looks again*)

No, wait a minute. That isn't me! It's my father! Thank God! Phew!

(*goes about life as blithely ignorant as before*)

Oh boy ... something else to look forward to as I advance in years! Hopefully by the time I get to be old enough to collect Medicare, they will have made the process easier!

Jeni Darlin', just go to your pharmacist and hand him all your paperwork, don't they all say they're full service? Make 'em prove it! Hope your 4th is calm and peaceful! Wish it could be that way worldwide...
