For the Rest of This Week

Ok, to make sure everyone gets the good words of wisdom once more, I'm going to post today the Bushisms for the next few days - through Sunday, January 6th, and then, will revert to trying to remember to post a week's worth of Bushisms each Sunday thereafter.

Since this particular calendar is also set up in "countdown" style, these quotes will also show how many more days are left that we have to contend with the lovely folks in Washington too.

January 2, 2008 - Wednesday - 384 days left

"I believe we are called to do the hard work to make our communities and quality of life a better place."
--Collinsville, Illinois, January 2006

January 3, 2008 - Thursday - 383 Days Left

"We need to apply twenty-first century information technology to the healthcare field. We need to have our medical records put on the I.T."
--Collinsville, Illinois, January 2006

January 4, 2008 - Friday - 382 Days Left

"I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to come and witness my hanging."
--Austin, Texas, January 4, 2002, at the dedication of his gubernatorial portrait.

January 5/6, 2008 - Saturday and Sunday - 381 and 380 Days Left

"Not over my dead body will they raise your taxes."
--Ontario, California, January 5, 2002

Here's hoping these little tidbits gives people a little incentive now to think positive -better days ahead. I sure do hope so anyway!

There's a Senator - sorry, can't remember his name - he blends in to all the other old stupid white men. Anyway - he heads a technology committee and refers to the Internet as "a series of tubes"

Jon Stewart has such a good time with his clips. I will find the time to research and let you know who he is.
