And So It Begins...

It's the New Year - 2008 - and you know what that means now don't you?

Only 385 more days to go!

And, thanks to my grandson - Alex -I got another Bushism calendar that will take me through not just to December 31, 2008 but to January 20, 2009 - the official end of the regime. Sometimes my kids and grandkids know exactly what goodies to get dear old Grammy J for Christmas and I figure a little bird told Alex that Gram really wanted, really needed another of these desk calendars.

So, without further adieu, here's the very first installment on the next 385 days worth of words of wisdom from the DUBYA himself.

January 1, 2008

"You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on."

2001 Gridiron Dinner.

Just starting out easy right now - by Sunday I probably will revert back to the weekly postings though.

Enjoy and here's hoping each and everyone has a very Happy, Safe, Prosperous and Peaceful New Year.

Peace at least would be a darned good start but then, that's just my opinion.

and he has concentrated so well on his fellow fool'ees - hasn't he?

love your use of the word "regime" - fits the little dictator perfectly.

My #1 wish for 2008 is a coup come November.

I look forward to you sharing the Bushisms - makes me feel less alone.

One of the local car insurance companies has a commercial out now with an actor playing GWB in a pickup truck driving like a maniac while Secret Service men are trying to corral him. Funny stuff.

Happy New Year!

My grandfather isn't happy until someone gives him a "You Might Be A Redneck If..." page-a-day calendar. PDM got me a "Get Fuzzy" one for my office, and I bought a beading one for home. So much variety!

About the countdown: I remember feeling like we were getting to the end of the madness in 2004, but instead we got four more years of BS. I sincerely hope that we don't feel that same sense of crushing disappointment come November of 2008. There is a lot of chaff among the nominee wheat. I hope that sanity will prevail.

Happy New Year!

He did not! That's a real quote??

You know, a guy could make a real name for himself by simply asking after each of the President's sentences..."Sir, excuse me, but what exactly did you mean by that?"
