I debated how I was going to do the last of the Bushisms. Should I do it in three posts -one for yesterday for this week, another this coming Sunday and then, do the last three on January 18th and finally decided I will finish off the Bushisms today by posting all the rest that are left between now and January 20th.
For those of you who read my blog and who are loyal, true-blue to the DUBYA, you're probably happy to hear this bit of information. Those who -like myself -didn't think all that highly of him might be a little sad to see these cease but I rather think most everyone is tired of them now. Like him, they may have worn out their welcome, ya know.
But with that in mind, here's the end of the line for the next 15 days.

The End!
And now, I'm either going to have to find myself another desk calendar for 2009 or rely on the Maxine calendar I have hanging on the wall here by my desk for some little tidbits of humor. Of course, with Maxine, it's only one per month on that calendar you know!
And now, on to "Hope and Change!"

Thanks -for the Memories
Just thinking here -as I was getting ready to post the Bushisms for this week -this is the last Thanksgiving with the DUBYA at the helm. Now, isn't that alone, something for which we can all be quite thankful? But then again, without these lovely quips, the misspoken words and ludicrous interpretations of his, what's gonna be around after January 20th to laugh at?
Actually, I'm quite sure there will still be many faux pas -from politicians on both sides of the aisle too -that will continue to provide some amusing moments for all of us.
But in the meantime, here's this week's wandering words of the illustrious DUBYA!

And On We Go
Moving along, getting closer and closer to the day of no more "you-know-who" to kick around, giggle over his comments, wonder at his logic -but in the meantime, here's almost a week's worth of more Bushisms for your perusal. Yes, there is again a day missing in the mix. Evidently some little finger reached out and touched my calendar again -this time nailing the paper for Friday, November 21st. My apologies for that as I know everyone really is anxious to get a full week's worth of entertainment, courtesy of the DUBYA.

Slight Panic
As I sat down tonight to do my regularly scheduled post with the wonderful Bushisms, I had cause to get a tad panicky as I couldn't find the darned desk calendar that has all these wise quips in it! It wasn't in the side compartment of my desk where I normally keep it -slightly pushed back so as to be out of sight, out of mind, for a certain little five-year-old who I discovered a while back was actually the culprit -swiping a couple of pages off the calendar.
For a short period of time -as I searched around other cubby holes on the desk, lifted a few papers, other assorted items -I began to fear some ghost or apparition must have come in and stolen my prized possession.
THe thought of totally taking everything off the desk, going through the side panel, putting things back -in an orderly fashion of course (not that the desk doesn't need a really good once-over clean-up job -it sure does) was something I just didn't feel up to doing tonight.
And then, lucky for me, lucky for you too, I found it! How it got behind my printer though is beyond my realm. My printer has sort of a rounded top and very little will rest on it -not safely at any rate. (Unlike my old printer which was flat on the top and held a myriad of papers, phone books, reading material -you name it!
So anyway, the hunt ended before it moved into a total "search and destroy" mode. Which means I can now post this week's Bushisms and then, retire to bed -happy in the knowledge I've done my part to educate people about the grammer and vocabulary of the notorious DUBYA.

Bush is reelected for a second presidential term. He receives 59,054,087 votes and as was the case in 2000, a single state --this time Ohio --determines the election result. The electoral margin is 286-252.

Just remember, he is trying to be "as clearly as I possibly can." Small comfort, isn't it?
So here's this week's collection of Bushisms -something I know you just can't live without knowing what other screwed up comments this fine man has made to and for us.

Waning Days
The time is rapidly passing us as we move closer and closer to Election Day this year when we will learn who will be the replacement for the DUBYA. Can anyone replace him? Well, if that's all we want is a "replacement" -same ideas, same methodology, same belief sets pertaining to the War, the economy, government -then yes, we can easily replace him with Sen. McCain and his wonderful sidekick, Caribou Barbie, as many have dubbed her. But if we think we need a change of pace, of scenarios -or at least the potential for those things to happen, to change, we can vote for the Obama/Biden ticket.
Either way though, when it comes to the wonderful ways the DUBYA has of saying things, let's face it, there is no replacement in line there, is there? And maybe we should say too -"Thankfully, so!"
Here now are this week's collection of Bushisms. Enjoy.

Well, based on the Bushism for Monday, I now know for sure I would/could never be considered part of his "base" since I definitely do not fall in the "haves" or the "have-mores" category. No Debating These!
So, did you watch the debate the other night? Or better yet, did you see the interview Katie Couric had with Sarah Palin? Hmmm. Watching that interview, I was thinking that her comments might just be the replacement for the Bushisms. Call 'em Palinisms -or better yet, simply "Plain Pains" maybe cause, well frankly, if that interview was any preview of the fantastic experience she is supposed to have, uh thanks, but no thanks!
I confess I didn't watch the debate -did catch a few bits and pieces of it later on the cable news channels, since that was all they had on for upteen hours after the debate ended so no choice there then -watch or switch channels, ya know. And "bits and pieces" of the debate was about all I figured I could handle before it would make me sick from listening to the political propaganda.
But all that aside, time now for the coming week's Bushisms! Are you excited? Are you ready? Here goes!

Ya know, just thinking here again, about the Palin/Couric interview and wondering if this is possible, but do you suppose maybe, somehow or other, Sarah Palin is perhaps a long-lost sister to the DUBYA? A lot of the responses seem to be very similar. Could it be? You tell me.

Don't you just love the McCain ad in which they tout how the McCain/Palin ticket advocates for "change" and that Obama/Biden would be just "more of the same" when in actuality, it would appear, at least to me, that the ad should be reversed!

Countdown -A Continuence
Ah yes, the Countdown to the end of the Bush Regime goes on. I didn't post anything yesterday, as I foolishly though I could take a break, do some other things and catch up easily early this morning on my blog reading and then post the Bushisms.
But, you know that old saying about mice, men and best laid plans, don't you? Well it sure did seem like very blog I subscribe to on my reader had at least one new post both yesterday and today! So it took me the better part of the day to get through with that.
But anyway, that's why I'm late -well, that and a certain little almost five-year-old girl, who is frequently the subject of many of my posts here. But that's another post too.
So, here's the lovely bits of balderdash for this coming week -in other words -this week's Bushisms.

Just change it to say "You're doing a heck of a job, DUBYA!" Yeah. Right. NOT!

Mysterious
Well, my faithful few (readers, that would be) it looks like there is a phantom loose in the house and it has struck again -taken the "Monday" page for this coming week's Bushism's! I have question everyone in the house (except for Maya and Kurtis) and no one has ever even thought of touching my desk calendar, much less taking a page off of the darned thing. I know it can't be the ghost of my mother coming through and doing this because she was a closet Democrat so would enjoy the humor of these sage sayings. As a result, this week, Monday will be a "make up your own Bushism Day" then. Unless of course, your week begins on Tuesday and if that is the case, then you're ok and here's the upcoming week's supply.

Short Week?
Well, either this desk calendar I have that I've been using was printed up short a couple of Monday Bushisms for this year or someone has been getting into my desk calendar and ripping of the Monday Bushism from time to time because once again, I have no insert in the calendar for tomorrow's date -no words of wisdom to impart for you for Monday, August 18th, 2008! My apologies.
So, picking up then with Tuesday, here goes!
