Nothing is sacred in a home with two small children.
Did you know that already? Well, if you have kids of any age, really, in your house, I'm sure you learned that a long, long time ago.
I thought I had but I was wrong.
Those little fingers just have to be busy, into something, making a mess somewhere, don't 'cha know?
Around here, one of the favorite things that someone with little (and very sticky usually) fingers is the DVD player. This is I think the third, maybe the fourth DVD player we've had that somehow gets mucked up by the curiosity of the kids. I don't know which one -probably Kurtis though -managed to muck up this dvd player but it no longer works.
Seeing as I have no problems with my little tv set and the built-in DVD player it has, I'm thinking it may be because it is on a shelf, up above (well above) reaching and touching levels of either one of the kids.
Maybe all tv stands should be manufactured with the area to hold the tv set on the bottom and the shelving for components, dvds, videos and such located well out of reach of those little fingers -like maybe at least five foot from the floor or maybe more!

It does seem that the only way to keep kids from mucking up the family electronics is to put them out of reach.
