Senior Moments

Dagnabit! I had another senior moment today. These things are happening way too frequently. I can't go out to the kitchen some days and remember what the heck I went there to get or do - annoying, very annoying!

But then, when I think of other alternatives - like if I weren't having ANY senior moments, maybe that would be because I wasn't having any moments at all and gee, where would that leave me? Or, if I was having senior moments and wasn't even aware of them - that would be even more drastic, wouldn't it? What would be worse- being totally senile, not knowing who you are, where you are, why you are doing what you are doing or just flat out being dead? Lovely choices there aren't they?

But I digress there. My senior moment for Thursday, February 1st involves my omission of the "Bushism of the Day." So, to save time and energy - and avoid my being forgetful about this for a couple of days, here's the Bushism for February 1st along with a couple others to get me ahead of that game!

"I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to come and witness my hanging." - At thye dedication of his portrais; Austin, Texas; January 4, 2002.

February 2, 2007 - Groundhog Day!
"I think anybody who doesn't think I'm smart enough to handle the job is underestimating." - As quoted in U.S. News & World Report; April 3, 2000.

February 3rd and 4th!
"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country." Poplar Bluff, Missouri; September 6, 2004.

And finally - to start your next week off right, for February 5, 2007 (a Monday) there is this:
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." Washington, D.C.; August 5, 2004.

Nite all now!

Is that what its called. I thought I was just being dumb. But 'Senior Moment' has such a nice ring to it but I can't remember if I am actually a senior or not. Is it 60 or 65 and how do I excuse the last 20 years!
