Rearranging Things

I can't believe it's that time of year again -already! Pretty soon, Mandy will be nagging Bill to go up in the attic and begin the long process of hauling all the Christmas decorations, wrapping paper and various other paraphernalia needed to welcome the Christmas season into the old homestead here.

Actually, this year, Mandy is a bit late in getting started with this project as normally, she reserves the Sunday after Thanksgiving for putting the tree up, decorating that and in the process, does her thing in trying to re-arrange the living room furniture in a way that all the seating allows for a decent view of the tv set and enables her to put the tree in front of the bow window in the living room. Not an easy task to do by any means as the shape of the room, the fireplace and big hot-water radiators make placement for this a bit problematic.

I thought she was getting geared up for this last week when she moved the furniture around in the living room but when she ended up with the love seat in front of the bow window I was beginning to wonder if she was going to put the tree up in some other place. Although, I don't know where that could be unless maybe she has plans to purchase some home theater furniture in the very near future and discard the big sofa, love seat and recliner rocker we currently have in this room.

Stay tuned for further developments in this department.

Rearranging furniture can be a pain. Good luck with all that. Keep us posted.

We won't have to rearrange anything this year. We decided to put the tree up out on the screened porch to keep the mischievous cats (mostly Silvio) away from it. We'll be able to enjoy it through the glass. Last year we didn't even bother - we knew better and didn't have a covered porch. The year before that, Moxy kept climbing up in it and bending the branches and knocking stuff off.

Good luck with your kitty and the kids!
