Make it go Away!

Well, due to circumstances beyond my control but because of these lovely people who insist on coming by and posting spam on my blog, I have had to resort, once again, to place comment moderation and word verification on my blog.

I really hate to do that and I know some folks -other than the spammers -do resent having those things too but sometimes one has to do what one has to do.

What I can't figure out though is that this particular spammer isn't even showing up at all on my sitemeter. It's like this person is totally invisible and just swoops down, leaves an undesirable comment and then, poof, its gone again!

Now how can that happen anyway?

Anyone have any clues, please let me know. That happened to me once before and I contacted sitemeter about it but they said it apparently was someone using a reader to comment. Well, I can only think of one or maybe two bloggers on my reader whose blog I can comment to directly from my reader. But it still inevitiable opens the blog post so I would think that would register then on their sitemeter, wouldn't it?

And now, back to my afternoon baking session. I'm making rich lemon-coconut bars and have a batch of chocolate streusel bars already done to cut and take to the Women's Group meeting tonight at church. Cross your fingers and hope they both turn out okay!
