Late Nite Viewing....

I don't know about anyone else's taste in late night TV viewing but I confess to being a big Craig Ferguson fan. The man -at times anyway -has to be at least semi-insane. Suffice it to say, I do think he is usually really hysterical.

But the other night when I was watching the show and Tom Selleck was the special guest, I'm still not sure how the conversation went from Secretariat and the galloping, dancing horse's appearance, to a discussion on artificial insemination of race horses and from there, some how evolved to a discussion of bedbugs and mattresses!

But the line which really got me was when Tom Selleck had mentioned bedbugs and mattresses and said that after just a short period of time -I think he said 2 maybe it was 3 years - that a new mattress would then weigh double what it did weigh when you first purchased it, due to the accumulation in the bottom of the mattress of lice, bedbugs, dead skin and also, from the moisture of your own body sweat!

Hearing that -well, kind of made me think that maybe it was time for me to go shopping for a new sleep spot, ya know!

But anyway, I got such a kick out of that particular interview Craig had with Tom Selleck I thought I'd give you all a treat and you can watch the excerpt for yourself. It's a long interview and the part about the bedding is at least half-way through the video, but if you like Craig and happened to miss this show, you'll definitely get a good chuckle -or two (or a lot more) out of it!

I admit to quite liking Craig Ferguson but I'm not so sure that a talk about the junk that accumulates in your mattress would be all that appealing even if it IS Tom Selleck talking about it! Ew!

I'm with Linda...I like Craig but not sure if I even want to think about bedbugs just before I go to bed...lol...actually I was just stopping by to say hello and to say that I hope you had a great Christmas...that all went well...I hope that 2011 will be a good year for you and your family...haven't been online much this past week so even though I haven't stopped by you are in my thoughts. I like Craig, too. But he's on much too late for someone who rises as early in the morning as I.

I LOVE Craig Ferguson. I usually can't stay up that late but I record his show. And I love Tom Sellack too so it was a good combo. :)

Caught up a bit on your prior post. Glad to hear you had a lovely Christmas! Hope you have a fabulous new year too!

Please tell me I was not seeing things when I noticed that Tom Selleck had some kind of seizure as they were coming back for his second segment. I can't find anything on the web about it. Not sure if it is in the segment you posted but as they returned, Craig, whom I have a huge crush on... ;) was asking Tom, "are you ok, are you ok?" Did anyone hear anything about this?

Uhm...yuck.

Not Tom Selleck or Craig Ferguson particularly. I like both gentlemen.

But the accumulation thing...that's just yuck.

Have a safe and sane new year celebration!

I really enjoyed Craig's recent Doctor Who special. He is a fun guy. Wish I could stay up later to watch live.

Happy New Year, Jeni!

I don't know Craig Ferguson.
The bed bugs make me cringe to think about.
I've heard of some people getting infestations from band new mattresses bought from a well know store....... because.... they got contaminated in storage.
You don't have to be dirty to get them.
May 2011 be free of all such creatures.
Happy New Year.

I dont watch late night tv because I'm asleep by 9:30 or 10 the absolute latest! However I do know his work and he is funny.

I'm not a night owl, and therefore I see almost no late night t.v. Guess I'm missing a lot of fun, but I value my sleep too much to change my ways.
